"It takes a village to do what's being done here. ... [There are men] in the pit and in the office with a foot on the throat of every woman in that mine."

- Lawyer Bill White (Woody Harrelson) seeks first-ever class status for a sexual harassment lawsuit in North Country (2005). His client, Josey Aimes (Charlize Theron), alleged long-standing, egregious harassment by her coworkers at a mine in northern Minnesota. The story was inspired by Class Action, a book about Jenson v. Eveleth Taconite Co. (139 F.R.D. 657 (D. Minn. 1991)), which settled in 1998 after eleven years of bitter litigation.
