Cathy Arias chairs Burnham Brown's employment practices group in Oakland. Joan Fife is managing partner of Winston & Strawn's San Francisco office and head of the San Francisco labor and employment group. Carol Gillam heads an employee rights firm in Los Angeles. After stints at Irell and Manella and the U.S. Attorney's Office, Ms. Gillam opened the firm in 1994.
