California Lawyer recognizes outstanding pro bono achievements throughout the state. The Angel Awards
acknowledge individual lawyers who have demonstrated a deep commitment to pro bono work. In December of 2008,
16 attorneys were given an Angel Award for their wide range of work—from helping victims of domestic
violence to protecting the rights of asylum seekers.
The Angel Awards are published in the December issue of California Lawyer.
