Mitchell Lee (“Mitch”) Lathrop graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was commissioned in the U.S. Navy. Following service in the Vietnam War, he graduated from the University of Southern California Law School. Following his graduation he practiced law for 45 years with large national and international law firms before leaving to become a sole practitioner specializing in mediation, arbitration, insurance, and lawyers’ professional responsibility. He has been qualified as an expert on insurance and legal malpractice in both state and federal courts. He is the author of a well-known legal treatise which has been published annually since 1992 by Lexis-Nexis Matthew Bender. Mitch is a former Presiding Referee of the California State Bar Court.
