Compliance Coordinator/Legal Assistant

Pacific Coast Producers, a leading private label food processor with facilities throughout Northern California, is seeking a Compliance Coordinator/Legal Assistant at its Corporate Office in Lodi, CA.

Under the direction of the Vice President & General Counsel, this individual will manage consumer complaints, workers' compensation cases, insurance claims reviews, licensing compliance, draft policies and procedures and conduct research. The position will work directly with customers, vendors, and staff throughout the company obtaining information, resolving problems, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience in claims management, preferably in a corporate or legal office environment; be capable of building strong relationships both internally and externally; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; possess the ability to resolve routine and complex issues and have experience conducting research into complex issues. B.S. degree or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of consumer package goods industry is a plus. Computer proficiency including Internet, with advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and Access is required. Notary license preferred.
